Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix problems in fuel, electrical, and mechanical systems (e.g., carburetors, ignition, starters, hydraulics).
- Maintenance: Perform routine tune-ups, oil changes, sharpening blades, and cleaning.
- Part Replacement: Repair or replace worn/defective components like pistons, gaskets, and pumps.
- Customer Service: Consult with customers, explain repairs, provide estimates, and show proper maintenance.
- Record Keeping: Document work performed, parts used, and inventory.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment for testing or use (e.g., golf course equipment).
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machine operation and repair.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, compression gauges).
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify root causes of failures (troubleshooting).
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting and working with heavy equipment, often in noisy environments.
