Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church is hiring. This part-time custodian position is designed to focus on the entire facility. 7:00 am to 12:00 pm The highest standards of cleanliness is essential in this public facility. It is open 7 days a week and sees a high number of visitors and guest each day.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean facility and a pleasant environment for employees and guest is essential to the job performance.
- Regular daily cleanliness is required with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual deep cleaning of all areas is required.
- Scheduled cleaning is a must, but unexpected, time-sensitive issues will arise and need to be handled in the daily process.
- Event space, offices, kitchens, public restrooms and adjacent buildings are located on the property.
- Maintaining clear communications with the staff, co-workers, visitors and guest is a must.
- Reporting to the facility manager and coordinating with the other employees is essential.
- Set up/take down of tables, chairs, equipment, special events is a major portion of this job.
- Inventory control and facility safety is required.
- The schedule is set weekly but some special events will take place and need to be handled asap.
Requirements:
- You must be able to lift 40lbs with ease.
- Be able to communicate in both oral and written forms, and follow instructions and schedules.
- Understand and adhere to basic OSHA regulations and the ability to use chemicals carefully in the cleaning process.
- Prior experience with a large facility is necessary.
Job Details:
- 20-25 hours a week is the normal work week which includes some Sundays.
- Additional work hours will include coverage for vacations, holidays, sick days of other team members as necessary.
- Occasional events in the evenings and on Saturdays are also possible.
